BOTH BOYS & GIRLS TEAMS ARE NOW PART OF MASS YOUTH LACROSSE LEAGUE!

YOU DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE A SEPARATE MYL MEMBERSHIP THIS YEAR, IT IS NOW PART OF THE NEW REGISTRATION SYSTEM. 

BOYS:

The Boys MYL Program is open to boys in the 1st - 8th grades.  The team plays in the Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League (MYL), which is focused on skill development and fostering a love for the game. We will begin our season with indoor practice @ Tyngsboro Sports Center in March.  Weather permitting we will head outdoors the first week of April for practices and games will begin in early April. The boys will have a minimum of 8 league games, and we will conclude the season with a MYL sponsored Jamboree in June.

We do not supply equipment, but it can be purchased at a local lacrosse store or big box sports store.  The boys will need the following equipment: helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pads, gloves, elbow pads, athletic cup and lacrosse stick.

A new safety rule begins Jan 1, 2022 with a requirement that all SHOULDER PADS meet a new NOCSAE ND200 requirement. Product compliance with ND200 reduces impact forces and thus the risk of commotio cordi (cardiac arrest due to a blow to the heart area).

Uniforms are not included in the registration fee, you may purchase them through our online store or use a uniform from prior years. The uniforms will not be changing this year, so returning places may reuse their old uniform but can certainly order new items as needed.

GIRLS:

The Girls MYLL League program is open to girls in the 1st and 8th grades. The team will focus on skill development and fostering a love for the game. Girls will get equal playing time based on participation in practice. We will begin our season with indoor practice @ Millworks in March. Weather permitting we will head outdoors the first week of April for practices and games will begin in early April. We practice 2 nights per week. The girls will have a minimum of 8 league games.

We do not supply equipment, but it can be purchased at a local lacrosse store or big box sports store.  The girls will need the following: goggles, non-tethered colored molded mouth guard, and lacrosse stick.

Uniforms are not included in the registration fee, you may purchase them through our online store, or use a uniform from prior years. The uniforms will not be changing this year, so returning places may reuse their old uniform but can certainty order new items as needed.
